The place

Four centuries in stone

Baltersan Castle is a late-16th-century L-plan tower house in the historic landscape of Carrick. Its walls still carry the character of a fortified Scottish home: practical, elegant and unmistakably rooted in place.

Today, the ambition is not simply to preserve a ruin. It is to make Baltersan useful again — carefully, credibly and in a way that respects its fabric, history and community.
